How Requests Are Reviewed

Submitting a request does not automatically mean that a correction will be made.
Political and Public Affairs Reporting
Political stories may contain competing claims, allegations and statements from different individuals.
Ronny TV distinguishes between reporting what a person said and presenting information as independently established fact.
Correction standards apply regardless of political affiliation or position.
Headlines, Images and Captions
Material errors in headlines, photographs, captions or image descriptions may also be corrected.
A headline may be changed where necessary to improve accuracy, clarity or context.
Removing Published Content
A correction does not automatically require an article to be removed.
Where appropriate, Ronny TV may correct the inaccurate information while preserving the original report.
Removal or substantial revision may be considered where circumstances justify it.
Transparency
Where a significant correction is made, Ronny TV may include a correction notice explaining the amendment.
The form and placement of the notice will depend on the nature of the error.
Right of Reply
A correction request is different from a request to publish a response.
Where an individual or organisation disagrees with an accurate report, the matter may be more appropriately addressed through our Right of Reply process.
