Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has announced that the Linda Mwananchi will tour the Mt Kenya region, and to be exact, the county of Meru, on August 30, 2026, just days after it toured Homa Bay County, where the rallies were marked by chaotic scenes.
Through his Facebook account, Sifuna shared a well-designed poster alongside a Meru dialect caption.
The decision to tour Meru has come days after former Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza told Homa Bay residents not to be lied to that Linda Mwananchi is a Nyanza region affair. She opined that the political vehicle is part and parcel of what will determine how many votes Ruto will lose in the upcoming 2027 general election.
Also, the tour will be interesting to watch, owing to the fact that Siaya Governor James Orengo invited the People’s Party of Kenya Leader Ndindi Nyoro to join the outfit, something the Kiharu MP did not accept or reject.
