HELB releases fresh disbursement update for students in five batches

Thousands of students awaiting Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) funding have received a fresh update after the board announced the processing and disbursement of five additional batches.

HELB said batches HELB-007139, HELB-007145, HELB-007147, HELB-007146 and HELB-007132 had been successfully processed and disbursed to respective institutions.

In an update issued on Thursday, October 8, the board told students: “Good news students! Batches HELB-007139, 007145, 007147, 007146 and 007132 have been processed and disbursed to institutions.”

HELB further advised students whose details fall under the listed batches to check their accounts for the latest information.

“Check your HELB student portal or reach out to your institution for updates,” the board said.

The announcement means students covered under the five batches can now confirm whether their funding has reflected through their respective institutions and HELB portals.

What students need to do

Students whose batch numbers are listed in the latest update have been advised to first log into their HELB student portals and check the status of their funding.

Those unable to establish whether the funds have been received can also contact their universities or colleges for confirmation.

HELB has repeatedly used batch numbers to communicate the progress of loan processing and disbursement, allowing students to track their applications without having to wait for individual notifications.

The latest update specifically covers the following dispatch batches:- HELB-007139- HELB-007145- HELB-007147- HELB-007146- HELB-007132

Students who do not find their batch numbers in the latest announcement may need to continue checking their portals for subsequent updates from the board.

HELB also reminded students that its services can be accessed through the *642# USSD code, while additional assistance is available through its official customer service channels.

The board’s latest communication comes as students continue to monitor the status of their financial support as they settle into the academic year.
